The Process

Traditional preparation for the perfect cup

Bamboo whisk soaking in water

Step 01Prepare

Soak your bamboo whisk in warm water for 2-3 minutes to soften the bristles

Scooping matcha powder into bowl

Step 02Measure

Add 2-3 bamboo scoops of matcha powder to your ceremonial bowl

Sifting matcha powder through fine sieve

Step 03Sift

Pass the powder through a fine sieve for a perfectly smooth texture

Pouring hot water over matcha powder

Step 04Add Water

Pour warm water at 70-80°C gently over the matcha powder

Whisking matcha in bowl

Step 05Whisk

Use a swift zigzag motion creating a 'w' until a fine, silky foam appears on top
